How-to: Nude Lips

Purpose:

Wear nude lipstick/gloss when you want to high light your eyes as your feature which is your vocal point. Some nudes are very nude to block out the lips. Other nudes have a pinky undertone to it to add a little something to your nude. 

 

Apply It:

Exfoliate your lips. This eliminates any dead skin that is on your lips creating a soft smooth canvas.

Apply lipstick

Apply powder along the lip line with a small powder brush. I like using a powder foundation. A pressed powder works just as well. This works in the exact same manner as lip liner. Great alternative to using lip liner. Or, if you just don’t like lip liner.

It’s only Day One at the Cafe Society premiere and the Opening Night Gala, and the celebrities have already begun to bring on the hair and makeup that is sure going to be trending.

I’m loving Eva’s brows. It’s in a very triangular shape. It suits her. She paired her smokey eyes with a nude lip, as well as a half-up and half-down hairstyle.

Bella kept her makeup super light to ensure her sleek back ponytail was the focal point. Along with her famous cheekbones.

To make her smokey eyes the vocal point, always pair your eye makeup with a nude lip. Make sure all of your other features don’t compete with your vocal point, that means, you need a light hand to apply your makeup. In this case, blush and lipstick. Using lighter colours compliments the eyes, not compete with them. Jessica Chastain did just that. As did Eva Longoria.

Victoria Beckham to Launch Makeup Collection with Estée Lauder!

Victoria Beckham took to her Instagram account to annouce her latest collaboration, and it’s with no other than mega-beauty brand, Estée Lauder, to bring you a limited edition makeup collection that is sure to spice up your beauty life. Her makeup line is to be described as refined. In addition, her makeup line is to reflect her fashion, handbag and accessories fashion house, which is refinement.  As to what exactly is part of this limited edition collection? That is still under wraps. You’ll have to wait and see. However, I do believe that Beckham wants to bring you a modern eye, 90’s plus more. It’s a collection that will be available Autumn/Winter 2016. Hitting select stores, as well as esteelauder.com and victoriabeckahm.com.
