clicheoctnov14-stacey-column-1

I wanted to share with you all this is an article that I had written for Cliche magazine. The editor of Cliche was so gracious to allow me to contribute my own photos for this piece, instead of me finding photos to contribute. This means I had organized and executed this photo shoot with amazing and talented people. Thank you by the way to this fabulous team. I’m pretty sure I’ve thanked them a lot, however one can never be thankful enough. From wardrobe to hair, to models, to poses, to how the photographs that would work well with my article. As well as, I did approve of it completely, as did the editor of the magazine who was very pleased. I did supply the makeup for this skin care article. Tune into Cliche’s website or past issues, to read up on the skin care tips that will ensure that your skin removes healthy, smooth, even complexion.

BtS of Cinthya Ayalah’s Shoot at Thompson Hotel in Toronto!

I recall meeting photographer Riley Domenjoz at Thompson Hotel. I had seen her work before and thought how talented of a photographer she is. Whenever I meet anyone whom I feel is talented I get nervous. I was hoping my nervousness wasn’t sheer. However, you can read my emotions on my face. Lol. The next thing I knew model, Cinthya Ayalah had walked through the door. Back then, she was just starting out. So, this was before she had become Miss. Playboy Mexico and Toronto Sun’s Sunshine Girl. As they shoot went on, I was thinking how wonderful and fantastic this is to be working with such talented ladies.

This was way before Cinthya Ayalah became Playboy Mexico and Sunshine Girl. When she hit the scene, you can tell she was going to make it, and well, she made it, and still making it. Congratulations to Cinthya.

Would love to work with these fun, professional, down-to-earth talents again!

Check out the behind-the-scenes shots, plus the final images below :). Enjoy!

BtS with George Stroumboulopoulos at Friday Night Live with Mike Koncan!

Years ago, when I was working at Rogers TV applying makeup on television hosts and hostess, I was asked by the host, Mike Koncan, to be the makeup artist for this show, Friday Night Live…with Mike Koncan! I was excited and nervous at the same time. I tried to conceal my nervousness and express my excitement. Working with people are down-to-earth, professional, nice, organized, and I’m going to admit talented people I really liked.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself working on set having this show air throughout Toronto, well, Ontario. One of the amazing guests to come on to the show was George Stroumboulopoulos. A professional, down-to-earth, nice, well-mannered gentleman whom is well-spoken making him an excellent conversationalist. I had seen Stroumbo from time-to-time throughout his show. However, the last time I had seen him was when he first appeared on my T.V. screen on MuchMusic as a VJ. One of the most successful VJs’ or the most successful VJ depending on your opinion who came from this Canadian station to be so successful, and to remain so down-to-earth was nice to see. Treating everyone very well. Out of a few celebrities I’ve had the pleasure of working with and knowing, he is definitely one of those celebs I would work with again, hands down.

Below are some shots taken during shooting of the episode and behind-the-scenes. Enjoy!

BTS Photo Shoot with Cinthya Ayalah @ MPSG!

This was such a fun photo shoot that I had done at MPSG with their wardrobe stylist, Michelle, talented photographer, Andrea Hunter, model Cinthya Ayalah, hair is by Sarah Majkut

By this was the second time I was fortunate to have worked with Cinthya Ayalah. Who at this time was well on her way of becoming Miss Mexico Playboy.  I love working with her; talented, professional, pleasant. Out of all the models I have had a pleasure of working with, Cinthya is definitely one of my top models I’d work with again. I hope she feels the same way about me as a makeup artist 🙂 ;).

This marks my first photo shoot working with this young, talented, emerging photographer, Andrea Hunter. As I walked into MPSG, to work with such talent, I met with Andrea. By this time, Andrea had achieved such a admiring level of success, and she was only growing to be one of the best in the industry.

Sarah Majkut, is a hairstylist whom I hit off n the very first shoot who has become such a good friend of mine. She is talented, she has styled on many shoots of ours, she has cut my hair several times.

On a shoot where there is this combo of Andrea and Sarah, it’s always so laid back and fun.

Placing those gems on was no easy task. Unlike placing gems on my friends brows for her Kesha concert to whom she had the pleasure of meeting, this was much easier. for my friend, those gems weren’t necessarily glued to her with actually glue. Any kind of glue, including eye lash glue wasn’t working. I had to use clear nail polish. Anyway, back to this shoot, it was fun and fabulous!! Check it out!!!! 🙂

Michelle being so generous by offering her skill and talent is styling the shoot. I have to say, everyone is so down-to-earth, fun and professional. I can’t express enough how much of a joy. Thanks, ladies. Thank-you to the co-owner of MPSG for allowing me to use his studiio. Thank-you, Andrew!
