You’ve heard me right. In addition to chamomile to calming an upset stomach, calming migraines, calming the redness on your skin (even for babies!), it has amazing benefits to thicken your hair. Who knew?! Quite honestly, this doesn’t apply to me, as I have really thick hair, enough for the bald heads, as my many hair stylists have told me since i can remember. Not too brag. So, I had turned to a friend who has thin hair to try this out.

Since thick hair derives from healthy hair (how to obtain and main it, click on the link for my tips :)). All you have to do is drink a cup of chamomile tea.

4 Tricks to Reduce Inflamed (Redness) Skin

Image result for lemon juice

Lemon Juice

Lemons, limes and grapefruits are natural bleechers, which means they help to remove any uneven complexion, redness, dark circles, brown/sun/age spots, etc. IF you don’t have sensitive skin, you can use the lemon juice (or any citric fruit that is mentioned) as is. If your skin is sensitive, then dilute the citrus juice. Dilute it with water. If your skin is very sensitive, like mine is, then I diltue the lemon juice by pouring in the same amount of lemon juice. So, if you have a quarter of a cup of lemon juice in your cup/jar/bowl, then the same amount of cool water is what will do the trick. I promise you, it will not cause an irritation to the skin. Same goes for lime and grapefruit. This mixture makes for a great all natural toner.

Aspirin

Ibuprofen to be precise helps to reduce reduce redness, this includes blemishes. For the full recipe, please click on the link above. 🙂

Bamboo Gel

Bamboo reduces and calms any redness on your skin. It’s also an anti-aging ingredient, so in addition to removing the redness, it also keeps the fine lines and wrinkles at bay. Bamboo has recently been discovered to be a bit more effective than aloe vera, in addition, it works much quicker, too. Don’t get me wrong, aloe vera is an oldie, but goodie. I know that The Face Shop has a really good bamboo gel.

Benefits of Chamomile Tea

Chamomile

Thanks to its bacterial and calming properties, chamomile is so gentile that you can even apply it on your baby’s bottom when they have a rash or just straight redness. After brewing the tea bag, through away the tea bag. Wait for the tea to cool down. I’d say wait about ten minutes or so. Use a makeup pad (one that you use to remove your makeup) on areas where you have inflammatory skin. Even rosacea. This has been an ancient treatment to treat inflamed skin. Or you can enjoy a cup of tea after brewing it. If so, enjoy!

DIY Reduce Cellulite with Coffee Grinds!

Image result for coffee grinds

#Cellulite! What a pain to have. Am I right?! Cellulite is normally found on the fattiest parts of the body, so this would usually be the upper thighs and the bum. Six months after I had turned thirty I got my first sighting of cellulite on my butt. How dare they pop up! Lol. #WelcomeToTheThirties !!! No, I’m not going to show you my cellulite, because of where it is. I have learned the best way to reduce it is by using a harsh #exfoliator. #CoffeeGrinds. To get the best results, so the grinds are being used efficiently, I prefer to use them after I have brewed a cup of #coffee (except I seldom drink it). I’ll brew it, just for the sake of using coffee grinds to reduce my cellulite.

This is what I do to reduce the cellulite.

I take the already used coffee grinds put them into a bowl or jar. When showering right before I use body wash, I will use the grinds right where I have the cellulite. Massage it. Remove it with warm water and a wash cloth. I then use my body wash. After I shower, I use body lotion.

If you want something quick and simple. Wet the area that has cellulite with warm water with a wash cloth. Apply the coffee grinds. Massage it with your hands. Remove it with warm water. Apply body lotion. And, viola! You are fini (finished).

Since I don’t have stretch marks, I had a couple of good friends of mine who have tested out the coffee grinds on their stretch marks, and they have said that it also helps to reduce stretch marks.

DIY Face Mask: Banana & Honey

I had decided to try this what was supposed to be a one ingredient face mask, but eventually turned into a two ingredient face mask; banana and honey. Now, if you plan on storing this face mask in the fridge to use for later in the week, use a whole banana. It makes a large batch. If that’s the case, and you want to opt for honey – apply two or three squirts. I used two generous amounts for one whole banana.

Bananas contain vitamins A,B,C, E, iron, zinc and loads of potassium. Bananas are excellent to reduce inflammatory skin (redness, including rosacea), acne/blemishes, dehydration, sensitive, anti-aging, so it reduces fine lines and wrinkles, thanks to it’s hydrating factor. Bananas are equivalent to the results you receive from botox. The difference is that one of them; you are injecting a needle and the other treatment you are applying a mask onto your face, or eating a banana, or both. 🙂

I love honey in masks, even on it’s own. Honey adds additional hydration for those who have very dehydrated in Winter. My skin is dehydrated all year round, but in the Winter, forget it, talk about loss of hydrated.

Ingredients:

1/3 or 1/4 banana

Fork (I replaced the wisk with a fork)

Honey (optional) – about 1 squirt

Directions:

In a bowl mash the banana to your level of smoothness. Add a honey, if you like. Mix it well. After your skin has been cleansed, with your favourite cleanser, apply this mixture. Leave it on for fifteen minutes. Afterwards, remove it with a warm wash cloth. Finish it with your moisturizer.

When you’ve tried this face mask, please share in the comments!

Baking Soda as a Deep Cleanser?

www.doctoroz.com

Baking soda as a deep cleanser is excellent for oily skin. It cleanses your skin, gently exfoliates (so, it’s good to use every day), plus it absorbs excess oil. Baking soda is excellent to brighten the skin. For example, discoloration (redness, dark circles), blemishes.

How to Apply:

Create a paste by adding two teaspoons of baking soda and a teaspoon of water. Use a warm facial cloth( it opens your pores). Mix and apply as you normally would with any cleanser. Rinse it off with cool water (cool water closes your pores). Pat dry. Moisturize your skin.

How to Reduce a Blemishes with Asprin (Ibuprofen Tablet)!

plus.google.com

Before I get into how you can reduce blemishes, the swelling and redness instantly. May I just say, let’s look on the bright side of having a blemish or two  or ten. The upside is that it’s a sign that you have moisture, hydration, this means that you are aging gracefully, so you are young looking. So, if a pimple decides to say hello, don’t fret. It’s a good sign. However, you probably still want to say good-bye. I do.

www.stylesgap.com

Take some Ibuprofen tablet (it’s anti-inflammatory). It reduces swelling internally with anything. This includes blemishes and acne. It dries it out, as well. Dissolve it in water and apply it where ever you have a blemish/acne. This trick also removes the redness of the blemish/ acne.

Apply this mixture in the morning if you have an event in the evening or the day before. I prefer the day before.

2. Green Tea Bags
Steep two green tea bags. Let them cool. Once they do, place green tea bags over your eyes. Lie down. Relax. Enjoy. A few minutes later, remove the tea bags. You can substitute the green tea bags for regular tea bags. Caffeine is an excellent de-puffer, as well as it removing dark circles.
