Christian Dior by Raf Simons Shoes 2012-2015

During this duration, Raf Simons was announced and named as the new Creative Director for Dior. For Simons’ short-lived designing of the house, he produced some of the most elegantly, beautifully shoes any lady would want to own in their closet. Let me show you some of my favourites during this time :). If you are following me on Pinterest, then you would know how much I love these shoes!!! I would snatch each and every one of these into my closet. It’s like, “Get into my closet!” 😉  Oh, and may I add, some of the shoes are seriously art deco or haute couture. #LoveIt!

This will mark the 47-year-old’s first designer collaboration, even though she has an affordable line offered for Kohl’s.  Pricing for this exclusive collection ranges from $795 and $1,995. This high-end designer shoe collection will be available at high-end department stores.

I would so love to design a shoe line or a beauty line. Sounds so fun. Don’t you think?

Style Hack: Stretch Your Shoes in the Freezer

I am always excited to hear about new style hacks to break into shoes faster. I’m quick to try it out. Let’s face it, new shoes do hurt the feet, so much so that your feet feel like they’re going to fall off? Oh, I have had that plenty of times, not just from wearing new shoes, but having flat feet. So, I had come across this style hack on Jillian Harris’ website for new shoes. So, you put your new shoes into the freezer? No. Anyway, this trick really works. Try it!

Ingredients: 

2 freezer zip lock bags

Water

New shoes

Directions:

You want to begin by filling the zip lock bags 3/4 with water. Keep in mind water expands when freezing, which is so good as it will stretch out your shoes. Place the bags into the freezer. Once the water has froze, remove from the freezer and place one bag into each your shoes.

Rihanna x Monolo Blahnik

Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik are collaborating on a limited edition Denim Desserts collection. According to WWD, the announcement of the partnership of Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik caused the website to crash. The collection has launched on Thursday. The collection includes six pieces. 

The website is taking special orders that will be delivered with a sketch signed by Rihanna  and the legendary shoe designer Blahnik. The brand however, has not provided the sales figures or traffic numbers. Kristina Blahnik told WWD that sales have been “steady and constant” worldwide, “which is what we expected of a luxury, high-value product and the more-considered purchaser.”

“In fact, when we went live on our microsite, it crashed a few times. It was all up and running again, but the volume of traffic was so high that it has taken us a little bit aback,” she said. She added that the collaboration was more of a fun and pop project rather than a consumer-driven exercise.
