MAC x Star Trek Collection

MAC just announced that it’s launching its first Star Trek–themed beauty collection in honor of the sci-fi series’ 50th anniversary. This collection will consist of twenty-five pieces that will include the brand’s beloved Lipstick, Lipglass, Pressed Pigment Eye Shadow and Studio Nail Lacquer.

A sneak peek at the collection (above), which will have a limited pre-sale on July 21, shows that the pieces will boast a very out-of-this-world feel, with glittering metallics coating each hue.

The collection will be available on-line August 21st, and in-store September 1st, two months after the film’s July 22nd release.

Get the Look: Perk Up Your Eyes

I’m going to tell you this awesome makeup trick to make tired eyes appear awake. It also brings out the the iris in your eyes.

I like to use a small crease brush and an eyeshadow in a white hue, sometimes I like to use a vanilla hue. I prefer not using an eyeliner pencil. Don’t smudge it. 

Okay, now that has been established. With your crease brush with product on your brush, apply it the inner corner of your eye. You extend it by applying the shadow to you lower eye and upper eye lid. If so, make sure you blend it in with the rest of your eye shadow that’s been applied on your lids. Don’t want your shadow to look blocks.
